Road conditions and baked goods!

We took another little trip down the road to clear trees and debris and got an updated video of a landslide that has covered the roadbed. Looks like it’s going to take some heavy equipment before the road will be open.

After our day of hard work I whipped up some fresh pizza and some apple-filled coffee cake for the next morning. Crank up the smellevision!

We’ve had an odd hatching event over/in the cold pool at the springs. Whoever can identify these little bright yellow larval things wins a free soak!

Backwoods baking begets beautiful bread (and scones). We don’t have much in the way of fresh veggies but there is no shortage of fresh baked goods coming out of the cabin kitchen. Thanks to my favorite bread cookbook, Breadtime.
